Chief Enthusiasm Officer
In 2005, I moved to New Zealand, and while working at the local hospital I saw a huge hole in services provided. We were sending people with disabilities home to rural locations where there was no support on hand, and therefore little chance of improvement.
I had a clear vision of how to improve their care. So I wrote a business plan, got the DHB on board and set up Lifestyle Potential now Reviva. For the first year, it was just me and a laptop. Reviva now employs nine people, and has helped thousands of people.
I have over 16 years clinical experience & love my job. I have worked in the UK and NZ in both the hospital and community settings. I understand how important our friends, families, interests and passions are to us all. I believe that there is always a better way – no matter your age.
I am a registered Physiotherapist of over 20 years. I’m fascinated by what motivates people to engage in rehabilitation. I have held multiple governance roles and now spend most of my time helping businesses prosper through my consulting business.
Occupational Therapist & foodie
Growing up on a farm, I learnt from a young age the importance of hard work, positivity and living in a supportive community. This led me to study occupational therapy and I haven’t looked back.
I now have 7 years’ experience in both hospital and community settings. I enjoy the real impact I can make on people lives. I recently helped a lady who was deeply unhappy about being cared for in a rest home. She wanted to return to her own home and be surrounded by her whānau. I pulled the team together and we got her home which gives me a sense of great pride.
I thrive on a challenge and love connecting with people that are passionate about their own health and wellbeing. I am a real foodie and surround myself with people that are self-motivated and enjoy pushing the boundaries.
Te Pou Ārahi + Rehab Coach
My role as Te Pou Ārahi is really exciting. I help the team improve their te reo skills and we are working on being able to say a karakia with confidence. So often, opening a meeting or session with a karakia falls to māori but the Reviva team want to reduce this burden by being able to do this themselves.
This role allows me to share my knowledge of tikanga with the team as we improve and streamline our services to better serve māori. I’m also a rehab coach and studying for a degree in counselling. With 4 kids and a love of sports, no day ever is boring!
Physio & Gelato Expert
I am a super proud mum of three, ice cream enthusiast, and registered Physiotherapist with 17 years experience in the UK, France and New Zealand. I specialise in orthopaedics, cardio-respiratory and Neuro rehab.
I found my niche working with people in their own homes. There’s nothing that can’t be fixed over a good cup of tea and some creative thinking! I am passionate about making people smile and enjoy life!
I rise to the challenge of engaging our wonderful community in new and exciting ways to be the best they can be, I love to see people happy and thriving! Age is just a number – together we can work hard to achieve your goals!
Head of admin + Travel
I started working at Reviva after the first lockdown and I’m loving the team dynamic. I’m an independent travel broker and since the pandemic in 2020, there isn’t much travel happening so I thought I’d try an office job. I bring my excellent organisation skills and an eye for detail which means I can get all the admin done quickly and correctly.
When I’m not up to my eyeballs in referrals, you can find me coaching kids rugby, working in my garden or zooming my 3 kids across town.
Physiotherapist + Gin Taster
I was born and raised in Turangi and coming back home after many years is a real pleasure. I have 8 years of experience across a wide range of physio specialities in hospital and community settings. I love getting to know my patients and their whānau. I relish the challenges that community physio brings as well as the many car games that we play en route!
When I’m not at work, you can find me wrangling two small boys with bikes, scooters or skis or trying out the latest gin flavour so I can tell the team.
Rehab + Connection Captain
I love seeing people in their own homes and helping them do they things the love. I relisheach conversation I with each patient have and recognise that it’s a real privilege to be in their homes. I have other roles in the community that mean I know a lot of people and I never forget a face. This can mean popping out t get milk for the office takes longer than it should!
When I’m not at work, you find me with my whānau enjoying our beautiful town.
Occupational Therapist + Mariner
I have had roles with Blind Low Vision NZ and Enliven but this takes the biscuit! I love being able to help people lead the lives they want in a way that suits them. I provide a lot of laughs in the office and make a decent cup of tea!
When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me sailing on the high seas or hanging out with my hilarious nephew.
Occupational Therapist & Style Guru
I am a registered Occupational Therapist with over 12 years’ experience in Australia and New Zealand. I support the OTs in Reviva with invaluable supervision and peer support.
I have a genuine passion for working with older people in their homes and communities. Through connecting with my clients, I not only get to share my skills, but also learn and laugh a lot along the way.
When I’m off the clock, I’m running around after my three kids. I’m always up for a challenge and can’t say no to team events such as Oxfam Trailwalker and the Spirited Womens Adventure Race. The satisfaction you get from completing an event with great friends is hard to beat, or maybe it’s the cold beer at the finish line!
Physio & Expert Baker
I believe that age is no barrier to potential and learning. I am a Physiotherapist with 19 years of experience in both the inpatient and community setting. I enjoy the benefits of working in a team based environment, we as individual therapists may not always have the answers but draw on each other’s strengths for the best outcome for our clients and their families.
My passion is neuro rehabilitation and the challenges this population face. I enjoy listening and learning from the colourful lives of the older population and hope my story will be as interesting one day!
