If you have a surgery booked, you need to get training!

The fitter and stronger you are, the better you bounce back after surgery.

Studies have shown pre-surgery training participants reduced their chances of needing in-patient rehabilitation by an incredible 73%. The  knee and hip replacement surgery patients participated in six weeks of pre-surgery workouts. The sessions included aquatic and land-based strength training, and aerobic and flexibility exercises.

TIPS TO HELP YOU RECOVER FASTER:

Try to get training at least 6 weeks before your surgery.

Start slowly and build up repetition / intensity over time so you don’t exacerbate your condition.

Consult your doctor or health professional if you have been very sedentary- GET GOING SAFELY.
